We want you to have peace of mind that you're buying a top-quality shed. Our buildings are made by expert craftsmen, and in the unlikely event of a defect, we're close by and will repair or replace it.
Our Coverage
Limited Warranty
Every new building is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for twelve (12) years from the date of installation.
Repair or Replace
At its discretion, Summit Structures LLC will either repair or replace any covered defect — and because we're local, help is never far away.
Transferable
Coverage extends to the original purchaser and may transfer to subsequent owners within the life of the warranty with written notice of ownership transfer.
Your Responsibilities
- Retain your bill of sale or provide other proof of purchase.
- Notify Summit Structures within thirty (30) days of discovering a defect.
- Have all warranty servicing performed by Summit Structures LLC or its agents.
- Perform routine maintenance — painting, leveling adjustments, and keeping vegetation at least 12″ from the edges of the shed.
- Set any building over 12′ x 24′ on a proper gravel and/or concrete pad; cinder blocks may be used for any building 10′ x 12′ and under.
- Keep mulch, shrubs, and other items at least 12″ away from the building exterior.
What's Not Covered
This limited warranty does not extend to damage caused by misuse, accident, improper maintenance or use, vandalism, or to units altered or modified without authorization, nor to acts of God including tornadoes, hail, floods, and wildfires.
It also excludes normal wear and tear and cosmetic changes in appearance, water sealer (given the extreme rain and moisture in the Pacific Northwest, sheds may need additional waterproofing or paint), pre-hung doors, and any used or pre-owned sheds. Blocking and settling are not covered — for 14′ and 16′-wide buildings we recommend a level gravel or concrete pad to help prevent settling.
How to Obtain Warranty Service
To obtain warranty servicing, contact Summit Structures LLC within thirty (30) days of finding a defect in your shed.
You'll need to provide a copy of your bill of sale or other proof of purchase, along with a written description and a picture of the defect.
